During my attempt to cover the Lanterne Rouge for this year’s Tour de France, I stumbled upon a gem of a site that is entirely devoted to the subject. Since I believe time is used more efficiently by not trying to duplicate work that has already been done, I quietly sat on the sidelines, learned a great deal in the process and followed the posts of a veteran.
The site that I’m referring to is the Tour de France Lanterne Rouge blog.
The author, Nancy Toby, does an excellent job of covering the details of a Lanterne Rouge. She also provides exceptional links to other sites that strengthen her platform. She demonstrates a true passion for the subject and sees the necessity of writing about it. I haven’t found a more thorough site that gives credit to the men that can easily be forgotten.
